The Challenge:

transform a small, narrow rowhouse with problematic configuration into a comfortable space for a couple and their cat

Design Solutions:

Create an integrated stair/storage/shelving element that takes advantage of every inch of space by embedding half of the kitchen program under the stairs. Create hidden in-floor storage, thereby taking advantage of unused space between floor joists.
